Cell Types- Prokaryotic & Eukaryotic Flashcards

1
Q

List 3 differences between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells.

A

Prokaryotic cells lacks nucleus and cell bound organelles while eukaryotic cells have these things, prokaryotic cells have a smaller more simple structure while eukaryotic cells have a larger more complex structure, prokaryotic cells have a single DNA molecule while eukaryotic cells have multiple linear DNA molecules.

Q

What cell part is scattered throughout the cytoplasm of ALL cells? What is its job?

A

Ribosomes are cell components that are scattered all throughout the cytoplasm of all cells. Its purpose is to read encoded in messenger RNA and use it to assemble from amino acids.
