Q

Describe the microscopic appearance of psoriasis

A

Hyperkeratinosis (Abnormal thickening of outer layer of skin)

Q

Describe the pathophysiology of psoriasis

A

excessive growth of epidermal layer of skin
leukocytes enter the epidermis from the dermis and secrete cytokines that stimulate keratinocyte proliferaation causing premature maturation of keratinocytes
