Q

Why is the medulla oblongata associated with sex and sickness

A

Because it’s an impulse pathway (sex is impulsive)
It controls breathing, heartbeat, blood pressure, swallowing and peristalsis which all effect and are associated with sex
It controls sneezing, coughing, hiccoughing and salivating which are all associated with sickness
