Q

What tracts pass through the ICP (restiform body)?

A

Afferents:

  • Post. or dorsal spinocerebellar t. (Flechsig’s t.)
  • Cuneocerebellar t.
  • Vestibulocerebellar t.
  • Olivocerebellar t. - decussation
  • Reticulocerebellar t.
  • Trigeminocerebellar t. or nucleocerebellar t. - crossed and uncrossed
  • Arcuatocerebellar t.
  • Rostral spinocerebellar t.

Efferents:

  • Cerebellovestibular t. (cerebellofugal fibers)
  • Cerebellospinal t.
  • Cerebello-olivary t.

Q

What tracts pass through the MCP (brachium pontis)?

A

Afferent:

Temporopontine t. (Türck’s bundle) and frontopontine t. (Arnold’s bundle) terminate in the pontine nuclei (1st order neurons)

  • Pontocerebellar t. or corticopontocerebellar t. (2nd order neurons) - decussation

Q

What tracts pass through the SCP (brachium conjunctivum)?

A

Afferents:

  • Ant. or ventral spinocerebellar t. (Gower’s t.) (the only afferent bundle entering SCP) - 2 times decussation (ipsilateral)
  • Tectocerebellar t. (not sure)

Efferents:

  • Cerebellothalamic t. - decussation
  • Dentatorubral t. or cerebellorubral t. - decussation
  • Cerebellotegmental t. - decussation
  • Cerebelloreticular t. - decussation
    • Then reticulospinal t.
  • Cerebello-olivary t. (not sure)
  • Cerebellovestibular t. (not sure)
