Stage IA
Maximum depth of invasion < 5 mm, can only be dx with microscopy
Stage IA1
Stromal invasion < 3 mm
Stage IA2
Stromal invasion >= 3 mm and less than 5 mm in depth
Stage IB
Invasive carcinoma with measured deepest invasion >= 5 mm, limited to the cervix
Stage IB1
Invasive carcinoma >= 5 mm depth of stromal invasion and < 2 cm greatest dimension
Stage IB2
Invasive carcinoma >= 2 cm and< 4 cm in greatest dimension
Stage IB3
Invasive carcinoma >= 4 cm in greatest dimension
Stage II
Invades beyond uterus, has not extended into lower 1/3 vagina or pelvic sidewall
Stage IIA
Upper 2/3 of vagina without parametrial involvement
IIA1: < 4 cm greatest dimension
IIA2: >= 4 cm in greatest dimension
Stage IIB
Extension into parametrium but not pelvic sidewall
Stage III
Involves lower 1/3 of vagina and/or extends into the pelvic sidewall, causes hydronephrosis or nonfunctioning kidney, or involves the LNs
Stage IIIA
Involves lower 1/3 vagina without extension into the pelvic wall
Stage IIIB
Extension into the pelvic wall, hydronephrosis or nonfunctioning kidney
Stage IV
Extends beyond true pelvis or involved (biopsy proven) the mucosa of the rectum or bladder
IVA > involves mucosa of rectum or bladder
IVB > tumor spread beyond true pelvis or by metastasis to distant organs
Stage IIIC
Involves pelvic or para-aortic LNs
IIIC1 > pelvic LNs
IIIC2 > para-aortic LNs
