What is ethics?
a set of principles of good conduct or moral values that one possesses or develops
What is autonomy?
the freedom and independence to make your own decisions and act in your own interests
What is informed consent?
when a patient grants permission to a healthcare provider to perform a procedure or a medical treatment
What is beneficence?
the principle of proper actions, kindness, compassion, and assistance toward other people
What is nonmaleficence?
the ethical principle of avoiding harm to others

being true to the commitments and obligations we promise to others

the obligation of the healthcare provider to maintain patient information in a way that will not allow dissemination beyond the healthcare provider

attempting to distribute equally to all who are in need
