What is war
When instruments of national power are unable to achieve national objectives or protect national interests any other way. goal is to win as quickly as possible with as few casualties as possible
What are MOOTW
Focus on deterring war, resolving conflict, promoting peace, and supporting civil authority in response to domestic crisis.
Arms control
Any plan, arrangement, or process resting upon explicit or implicit international agreement. Governs any aspect of: numbers, types, performance characteristics
Combating terrorism
Actions taken to oppose terrorism from wherever the threat
antiterrorism
Defensive measures taken to reduce vulnerability to terrorist attacks
counterterrorism
Offensive measures taken to prevent, deter and respond to terrorism
Enforcement of sanctions/maritime intercept ops
Operations which employ coercive measures to interdict the movement of certain types of designated items into or out of a nation or specific area

Established by sanctioning body to prohibit specified activities in a specific geographical area
