Give two reasons why renewable energy storage facilities are necessary

Answer 1

1. Wind, solar and wave energy are unreliable and will produce more energy than necessary at certain time, energy storage provides a way to use this energy when it is needed
2. These energies are intermittent by nature and supply wont always meet demand, energy storage provides a way to produce energy when energy from renewables is not meeting demand
