What are the benefits of the Division of Labour?
A
- increases efficiency which decreases average cost per munit
- e.g. there may be a reduction in time of workers switiching from one task to another
- less time needed to train employees
- increase in the quality of output since the employees specialise in a job that supports their skill set & experience

What are the problems with specialisation & the division of labour?
A
- boredom = workers quitting regularly
- individuals who specialise in certain skills can become outdated & will become hard for them to get employed in another industry
- production process becomes interdependent & therefore if 1 department fails/ slows down & doesnβt meet its targets, the whole process will stall
