What is tt8 used for?
- treats deep uncontrolled ascent when more than 60 min of decompression is missed
- compress to depth of relief not to exceed 225 fsw
Asymptomatic omitted d, 20-30 fsw stop, over 7 min SI
In water- Return to stop depth, multiply stops by 1.5
In chamber- 2 or less chamber periods, TT5
- 2.5 or more chamber periods, TT6
What is a level 1 chamber?
On station or within 5 min
CO can authorize it to 7 min
When is a tt7 used?
- Extra extension at 60 fsw
- heroic measure for life threatening or non responsive AGE or DCS
When do you use tt6a?
AGE or DCS when severe symptoms remain unchanged or worsen after first o2 period (20 min)
What is a level 2 chamber?
One hour
First flag officer can authorize this to be a Non-Navy chamber
95-104 degrees treatment
TT 5,9
2 hours
AGE Treatment

How high can an unpressurized aircraft go with a patient?
1 ata or less than 1000 ft
How do you tell if a patient is properly hydrated?
Clear, colorless urine
Chamber Sup Responsibilities
- Establish comms
- Adhere to min manning levels
- Ensure all team is familiar with ops
- Ensure DMO is contacted at earliest
- Patient details are recorded
- Track BT and dive profiles
- Dive times are recorded
When is tt4 used?
When patient would receive additional benefit from depth of relief. UMO should be consulted.
What is a tt5 use for?
- type 1 DCS except cutis marmorata
- asymptomatic omitted decompression
- resolved symptoms after in water recompression
- follow up treatment for residual symptoms
- CO poisoning
- gas gangrene
What is a tt6 used for?
- AGE
- DCS Type 2
- DCS Type 1 when no complete relief within 10 min at 60 fsw or a neuro isn’t completed on surface
- cutis marmorata
- severe CO poisoning, cyanide poisoning, smoke inhalation
- asymptomatic omitted decompression
- symptomatic uncontrolled ascent
- reoccurrence of symptoms shallower than 60 fsw
Asymptomatic omitted d, less than a min
Return to Stop depth and add a min to first stop
