Q

What is the background behind chaney study?

A

•Poor adherence to asthma medication is a huge problem globally
•Research has suggested that there is a clear link between frequency of asthma attacks and compliance: children who experience asthma attacks have an average compliance rate of 14% whereas those who do not experience attacks have 68% compliance rate
•Treatment programmes may lack efficacy because the condition is not managed early on and/or patients do not receive regular reviews
