What is the purpose of the Issues Practice?
To collect and assess issues and control changes to the projects baseline.
What is the definition and types of issues?
An issue is an event relevant to the project that requires project management consideration.
What is Change?
A change is defined as a modification to any of the approved products that constitute the projects baseline.
What is the project baseline?
The current approved version of the management products and project products that are subject to change control.

What is Change Control?
The process by which changes that may affect the project baseline are identified, assessed and then approved, rejected or deferred.
What is a request for change?
A proposal for baseline change, but it must specify the management products to be changed and provide a justification as to why.
What is an Off-Specification?
A product that will not meet the quality specifications. This occurs when a supplier fails to deliver a product that fully complies with the quality specifications.
What is the Issue Management Approach?
Describes how issues are dealt with in our projects (captured and reported) project baseline changes.
What is the Issue Register?
Logs all issues and reports raised in the projects lifecycle (current status, date of closure, when the issue was resolved).
What is an Issue Report?
Describes issues impact on the project baseline and identifies the ways we need to resolve an issue or off-specification and then recommend a decision.
