The act of making common land privately owned.

To make things using machines.
What changed in machinery during the industrial revolution?
There were machines that produced goods more quickly than by hand.

The new machines were too big to fit into people’s houses.

What is indentured labour?
Workers who are on contract to work for a certain length at a certain wage for an employer.
Why was there such high demand for sugar in britain?
The climate in Britain was not right for growing sugarcane, and so there was not any sugar.
What was used to sweeten food instead of sugar?
Honey
What can indentured workers do after their contract is finished?
They could sign a new contract or be “free” and start their own business.
