Tunisia is located in North Africa on the Mediterranean Sea. It has a hot climate, warm seas and 8 World Heritage Sites which all attract large numbers of tourists.

In 1960 package holidays were introduced to Tunisia where people would get their flights, accommodation and food all included. This reduced the price of travel so more people visited Tunisia and income increased.
