Arise from specific point located on the elbor or knee separate from the regular channel
Luo Connecting Channels
Possibly even deeper than the Jing Mai (Regular chanels)
Extraordinary Channels
Do not distribute interiorly, only superficially at the skin they have no starting point or terminating points, no directional flow
Cutaneous Regions
Start on the extremeities and travel inward toward the trunk. They cover broad areas knot at the joints and large muscles
Tendino-muscular channels
Separate from the channels above or at the elbo or knee joints, enter the chest and abdomen, emerge from the body cavity (usaually head or neck) converge with the tang channel of the pair (at the head)
Divergent channels
Run vertically, bilaterally, and symmetrically distributed relatively deep within the body, have internal and external pathways
