What is commercial agriculture?
Commercial agriculture is a large-scale production of crops for sale, intended for widespread distribution to wholesalers or retail outlets
What is subsistence farming?
the farmers focus on growing enough food to feed themselves and their families.
Why did New England farmers practice subsistence farming?
the soil of new England wasn’t very fertile so they practiced substantile farming so they could survive.
What were the two main industries of the New England colonies?
Things were made of wood, so there was a small timber and lumber industry
What is the triangular trade?
a system involving goods from three locations, each of which has a demand in one of the other

The New England Colonies sent fur, lumber, grain, tobacco, and whale oil
