(6 cards)
What is anatomy?
The study of the structure and shape of the body and its parts and its relationship to one another.
What is gross anatomy?
When we study easily observable large body structures such as the heart or bones.
What is microscopic anatomy?

What is physiology?
The study of how the body and its parts work or function.
Name a subdivision on physiology.
Neurophysiology and cardiac physiology.
Why is it important to know both anatomy and physiology?
Its important because they are related and a function in a body part can only occur if the structure allows it.
