What is the definition of Fundamental motor skills (FMS)?
The basis of all movement in sport, they are learned movement patterns and form the foundations for further sport specific skills.

What are open motor skills?
Performed in a constantly changing environment that is externally paced.
What is a continuous motor skill?
A skill that has no distinct beginning or end.
What is a discrete motor skill?
movements of brief duration that are easily defined by a distinct beginning and end
What is meant by ‘enabler’?
something or someone that has a positive effect on a person’s movement skills
What is the difference between fine and gross motor skills?
Fine motor skills are delicate, precise movements that engage the use of small muscle groups whereas gross motor skills are movements involving the use of large muscle groups, resulting in a coordinated action.
