Also called whittsunday, it means the start of the Christian church.

How spirit coming down on dicisples 50 days after Jesus resurrection on Easter Sunday.
When did Christianity start expanding?

How long did the expansion last ?
Over 1000 years.
What was the great schism?
It means split, when catholic and orthodox was split into two denominations
When did the great schism happen?
4th and 5th century.
How did the great schism happen?
In 1054, disagreement around leadership led to the great schism.
Give the reasons of the great schism:
- power of the pope,
- Rome was too big for one ruler.
- there was disagreements between leaderships.
- religious reasons or religious teachings.

What was the reformation?
When the churches divided again. It was a reaction against abuses such as simony, nepotism, pluralism and absenteeism. .

Giving jobs to a family and friends within the church.
What does the word simony mean
Bringing people to higher position.
Pluralism:
Being in charge of more than one diocese
Absenteeism:
Being in charge but not being physically present within parish or diocese.

He was an Augustinian monk
What did martin Luther have a problem with
With the indulgences.
What was an indulgence
Payment made to the Catholic Church by an individual for respect and freedom
Why did he disagree with the indulgence
Because there was no evidence not evidence on the bible.
