An Italian sculptor who began the gothic and classical style of Greek and Roman. His work included “Giovanni Pisano Pulpit (Nativity Scene)” and “Bonaventura Berlinghieri (Panel of St. Francis).”
What was significant about the “Bonaventura Berlinghieri?” painted upon the panel of St. Francis by Nicola Pisano?

What are the two techniques used in fresco paintings?
Fresco-secco (pigments ground in water are tempered using egg yolk or whole egg mixed with water which are applied to plaster that has been moistened (using this temper) to simulate fresh plaster) and foreshortening.
What is foreshortening?
A method of painting an object to create depth.
