Beliefs
Specific thoughts or ideas that people hold to be true
Norms
Rules and expectations by which a society guides the behaviour of its members
Folkways
Norms for routine/casual interaction
Mores
Norms that are widely observed and have great moral significance
Laws
Systems of rules recognized and enforced by governing institutions
Social Control
Attempts by society to regulate people’s thoughts and behaviours
Technology
Knowledge that people use to make a way of life in their surrounding
Hunting and gathering/Horticulture/Pastoralism/ Agriculture/Industry/Post-industrialism
High Culture
Cultural patterns that distinguish a society’s elite
