observation
The action or process of observing something or someone carefully or in order to gain information
Hypothesis
A supposition or proposed explanation made on the basis of limited evidence as a starting point for further investigation.
production
The action of making or manufacturing from components or raw materials, or the process of being so manufactured.
experiment
A scientific procedure undertaken to make a discovery, test a hypothesis or demonstrate a known fact.
variable
Not consistent or having a fixed pattern; liable to change
experimental group
In a psychology experiment, the experimental group (or experimental condition) refers to the group of participants who are exposed to the independent variable
data
Facts and statistics collected together for reference or analysis.
correlation
A mutual relationship or connection between two or more things.
statistics
The practice or science of collecting and analyzing numerical data in large quantities, especially for the purpose of inferring proportions in a whole from those in a representative sample.
Mean
To calculate the mean you add all the values together and divide by the total number of values
Definition
A statement of the exact meaning of a word, especially in a dictionary.
probability
The extent to which something is probable; the likelihood of something happening or being the case.
sample
A small part or quantity intended to show what the whole is like.
risk
Risk is a measure of the probability and severity of adverse effects or the combination of probability of an event and its consequences
model
A physical and/or mathematical and/or conceptual representation of a system of ideas, events, or processes
conceptual model
Abstract, psychological representations of how tasks should be carried out
mathematical model
An abstract model that uses mathematical language to describe the behavior of a system.
value
The regard that something is held to deserve; the importance, worth, or usefulness of something.
decision-making model
Describes the method a team will use to make decisions. The most important factor in successful decision-making is that every team member is clear about how a particular decision will be made
