How could informal support help?

A
  • Family helps with bereavement after a natural death of a family member. Eg. Friends may cover your work during the time off, family and friends help you get through it.
  • Family helps after being injured. Eg. Tidies your house, cooks you some meals.

A

GP: help with conception, get birth/death certificates, diagnose you with illnesses, help with acute stress reaction
Occupational Therapist: Identify the strengths and difficulties, Help with mentally ‘disabled’ people (Autism,ADHD), Help with mental illnesses
Community nurse: Help dementia patients, help people in the community, conduct check ups to make sure every thing is okay.
Social Worker: Help with pregnancies, Help fears and Phobias, help the vulnerable, help stress/anxiety/depression relief, put people In foster homes
