How did Shang kings consult gods

A

Using oracle bones, animal bones and tortoise shells on which priests had scratched questions for gods. A hot poker was applied to the bone and depending on the way the bone cracked was the answer to the question.

A

Blast furnaces that produced cast iron.

Zhou used iron to create weapons dagger-axes and swords, common agriculture tools sickles, knives and spades.

Weekend in 771 bc nomads from north and west murdered the Zhou monarch. Few members escaped and set up new capital in Luoyang but were powerless.
