What is the purpose of Chapter 24?
Allows the use of a facility or procedure to support a major disaster or a military operation, with minimum affect on the operations supporting the disaster or military operation. Reduced some requirements and expands certain tolerances restoring multiple facilities in minimal time.
What status must be assigned to facilities or procedures inspected to Ch. 24 standards?
They must have a status of RESTRICTED.
What must be documented if only the final and missed approach segments were inspected?
“Approach use only.”
What notam must a military commander issue to continue use of the facility if it exceeds Ch 24 periodicity?
“For military use only”
What is the minimum area to be inspected for ground base facilities under Ch 24?
The final and missed approach segments.
What is the minimum to be inspected on an RNAV procedure?
The intermediate, final, and MAP segments.
