הִנֵּה כל-אלח המדַבְּרִים הֲלׂא גלילים הֵמָּה
Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?

וְאֵיךְ אנחנו שׁׂמְעים אׂתם
And how hear we every man
32
כִּשְׂפַת־אֶרֶץ מוֹלַדְתֵּנוּ׃
in our own tongue wherein we were born?

פַּרְתִּיִּים וּמָדִים וְעֵילָמִים וְישְׁבֵי אֲרַם נַהֲרָיִם יְהוּדָה וְקַפּוֹדְקִיָּה פָּנְטוֹס וְאַסְיָא
Parthians and Medes and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, in Judaea and Cappadocia, in Pontus and Asia,

פְּרוּגְיָא וּפַמְפּוּלְיָא מִצְרַיִם וְחֶבֶל לוּב אֲשֶׁר עַל־יַד קוּרִינִי וְהַבָּאִים מֵרוֹמִי יְהוּדִים וְגם-גֵרִים׃
Phrygia and Pamphylia, in Egypt and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,

כְּרֵתִים וְעַרְבִים הִנֵּה אֲנַחְנוּ שׁׂמְעִים אׂתָם מְסַפְּרִים בִּלְשׁׂנוֹתֵינוּ גְּדֻלּוֹת הָאֱלׂהִים׃
Cretans and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

וַיִּתְמְהוּ כֻלָּם
And they were all amazed,

וַיִּבָּהֵלוּ
and were in doubt

וַיּׂאמְרוּ אִישׁ אֶל־אָחִיו
saying one to another

מַה־תהיה זּׂאת
What meaneth this

וַאֲחֵרִים לָעֲגוּ וַיּׂאמְרוּ
Others mocking said

כִּי־מְלֵאֵי עָסִיס הֵמָּה
These men are full of new wine.

אָז יַעֲמׂד פֶּטְרוֹס

וְעַשְׁתֵּי הֶעָשָׂר עִמּוֹ

hearken to my words

הָאֵלֶּה לׂא שִׁכּוֹרִים הֵמָּה
these are not drunken

כאשר חשתם
as ye suppose

כִּי שָׁלשׁ שָׁעוֹת בַּיוֹם עָתָּה
seeing it is but the third hour of th day

וְהוּא הָאָמוּר עַל־יְדֵי יוֹאֵל הַנָּבִיא
