Chapter 3 Flashcards
What are the three componets of cell theory?
all living things make up cells all cells come from pre exisiting cells and they are the structure and fuction of all units of life
What makes prokaryotes unique?
they have no nucleous
What make eukaryotes unique?
they have a nucleous and membrane bound organelles
What do prokaryotes and eukaryotes have in common?
they have DNA ribosomes cytoplasm and cell membranes
Rough endoplasmic reticulum
in Eukaryotes they help with manufacturing proteins
Smooth Endoplasmic reticulum
Eukaryotes produces lipids and detoxifys proteins
Golgi apperatus
They help prepare proteins to be transported
Ribosomes
Aid in protein synthesis
Lysosomes
Eukaryotes help break down molecules and assist in DNA replication
CytoSkeleton
Eukaryotes helps support, transport, movement in the cell
How does a ribosomes ER and golgi interact?
The rna connects to a ribosome to be taken to the ER to be synthesised and create proteins once synthesised they move to the Golgi to be packaged in vesicles and be transported
