What is Diagnosis?
-First step in clinical care.
What are the different forms of reliability?
- Inter-rater –> Observer agreement
- Test-retest –> Similarity of scores across repeated test administrations or observations.
- Alternate forms –> Similarity of scores in tests that are similar, but not identical.
- Internal Consistency –> Extent to which test items are related to one another.
What is validity?
How well the test measures what it is supposed to measure.
What is content validity?
The extent to which a measure adequately samples the domain of interest.
What is criterion Validity?
The extent to which a measure is associated with another measure (The criterion) concurrent - Test correlates well with a measure that has been validated; both taken at the same time predictive - the ability of the measure to predict another variable measured.
What is the International classification of diseases? (ICD)
Published by the world health organization. ICD came before DSM.
Who published the DSM?
American Psychiatric Association
