Q

how can we measure probability: explain the terms symmetry, long term relative frequency, population proportion, subjective assessment and a statistical model

A
  1. symmetry: knowing that we have a deck of 52 cards, since half are red, the other half must be black
  2. long term relative frequency, we repeat the experiment multiple times
  3. population proportion: collect sample and note how many have the trait so we can generalise to the population
  4. subjective assessment is expert advice
  5. a statistical model is collecting data and following a model and check information from the model
