Decir en el preterito
Decir + que= what someone said

Ponerse + a (infinitive)= Started to Ponerse + adjective= Felt or became -me puse -te pusiste -se puso -nos pusimos -os pusisteis -se pusieron

Where someone/something was. Say how someone felt for a certain period of time.

-ir verbs in preterite
-ir verbs have stem change in the third person forms in preterite
Sentirse: e-->i -se sintió -se sintieron Dormirse: o-->u -se durmió -se durmieron
Rules: reflexive pronouns and direct objects
- Use with verb to talk about someone doing something to himself (El cocinero se cortó)
- Use with direct object, often a part of body or something you put on
- Goes before conjugated verb or attached to end of present participle
- Attached to end of verb in affirmative commands, placed before in negative
Past participles of regular verbs
Used to describe a condition or injury. (Like adjective)
- ar verbs: ar–>ado
- ir/er verbs: er/ir–>ido
- Must agree with nouns in number and gender
-er and -ir verbs ending with vowel
-I of regular preterite endings changes to y in third person, and í in all other forms
