Task Analytical Model

A

If a student doesn’t engage in behavior deemed desirable by the school, he probably lacks one or more of the prerequisites necessary to engage in that behavior.
Disadvantage: It is more difficult to task analyze a social behavior problem than an academic problem.

The Pre-Mod Prerequisites

A
  1. The student understands what behavior is expected of him.
  2. The student is aware of his behavior .
  3. The student is able to bring his behavior under his control.
  4. The student knows how to engage in the target behavior.
  5. The student must consider the consequences of engaging in the target behavior more rewarding or less aversive than the consequences of engaging in the maladaptive behavior.
  6. The student should not hold any belief that is incompatible with the target behavior.
