New atheism
A contemporary for of atheism that not only denies the existence of God but also contends that religion vehemity criticized, condemned, and opposed
Perfect being theology
A view of God that defines God as the greatest possible being and that in which not greater can be deceived
3 aspects of God’s nature
God is self-existence
God is spirit
God is personal
God is self-existence
Aseity- God’s self existence and self sufficient nature
God is spirt
God is a pure spirit and not material

The attributes of God
God is holy, God is eternal, God is all knowing, God is all powerful, God is present everywhere, God is unchanging, God is wise, God is righteous, God is loving, and God is merciful and gracious
Incommunicable attributes
Quality’s only belong to God
Communicable attributes
Quality’s that God and human beings share
God is holy
Holy- to be set apart
God is eternal
Eternal- always existing or existing outside of time, everlasting
God is all knowing
Omniscient- God’s unique ability to know everything that can be known
God is all powerful
Omnipotent- God’s ability to do anything that can be done
God is present everywhere
Omnipresent- God’s unique ability to be present at all places and at all times
God is unchanging
God stays the same
God is wise
God knows what’s gonna happen
God is righteous
God is always right
God is loving
He wants the best for us
God is merciful and gracious
Mercy- is not receiving what one does
Grace- receiving what one does not deserve
Immanent
An attribute of God that describes Him as being both within and among His creation
Transcendent
An attribute of God that describes Him as being both above and outside of His creation
Pantheism
The belief that everything in the universe is ultimately is defined
Deism
The belief that God exists and created the world but is aloof and has not revealed himself to us (personal)
Agape
Selfless love
