A
Because climate of India is governed by monsoon winds which are limited between 20 degree north and south.

What are jet streams?
A
Jet streams are fast flowing, narrow, air cutlrrrnts found in the atmosphere of some planets. West jet streams effect Indian climate by western disturbances in north parts of the country. And east jet streams cause tropical depression.
