Inherited from parents, abilities are stable traits that determined an individuals potentioal to learn or aquire skills.

- Taxkling in rugby
- Fromt crawl in swimming
- Handstand in gymnastics
- Shooting in basketball

- Few decisions need to be made
- Fee excisions actually effect the success of the movement
- Tend to be taught to a beginner
- Learned quickly
