How do Muslims and Christians view Jesus differently.
Christians viewed Jesus as God. Muslims viewed Jesus as a prophet. They agree he was a messiah born to the Virgin Mary.

Umayyads: established after Muhammad’s death and was centered in Mecca.

Abbasid dynasty: had power in 750 and moved the capital to Baghdad and became a large trade empire.
Describe the Seljuk Turks
Seljuk Turks: in 1055 Turks took rule of the Abbasid empire and a Turkish sultan took political lead then threatens the Byzantine empire
Describe the rashiduns
Rashiduns: permitted jihad a just war to defend Islam eventually controlled a large region.
