Islam discouraged showing human beings, animals, and other subjects realistically, they often created art using designs and scripts

The Spanish reconquista was caused by Christian’s re conquering Spain after the Muslims had conquered it because of this any religious person who was catholic was put on trial and killed, many hid or pretended to convert, Muslims and Jews lived in constant fear even tho they were most of the working class Thai caused the Spanish economy to crash.

They developed a new way of fighting by grouping large numbers of soldiers with the same weapons, in tight formations being difficult to overrun. As a result the Spanish infantry became the deadliest fighting force in Europe

Because they believed the spread of Islam by the Muslims was a threat to the unity of Catholicism , they felt they had a religious duty to convert as many people as possible to Catholicism both wi th in and beyond Spanish borders

The inquisition became a state run system of courts, where church officials put believers of religion other the Catholicism on trial, Muslims and Jews lived in constant fear of being discovered, some fled, some pretended to convert, the expulsion of Muslims and Jews left the Spanish economy in shambles as they made up the working class.

Their economy suffered as most working class were Jews and Muslims, and they lost all of those hard working people making I’d difficult to run businesses

Europe wanted god, gold, and glory, and geography, Spain wanted the same things focusing on expanding their territories by sending out expeditions to claim land and resources, while also sending missionaries to convert people around the world into Catholicism. Because of this Spain became very powerful and wealthy so Europeans began trying to barge their ships and rob them.
