A

All people create & recreate gendered identities through constant interactions & gendered behaviours.

the ways in which individuals actively engage in and perform gender through their everyday actions, behaviors, and interactions. Rather than viewing gender as a fixed or inherent characteristic, “doing gender” highlights the social and dynamic nature of gender, emphasizing that it is continuously constructed and reinforced through social practices and interactions.

Intersectionality:

A

Each of the disadvantages or types of social exclusion from dominant/mainstream society, often intersect/interact with one another.

Coined by legal scholar Kimberlé Crenshaw in the late 1980s, intersectionality emphasizes that individuals’ experiences of privilege and oppression are shaped by the intersection of multiple social categories, such as race, gender, class, sexuality, ability, and more.
