Ethnic work
Activities designed to discover, enchanted, maintain, or transmit an ethic or racial identity
Genocide
The annihilation of a people because of their race or ethnicity
Ethnicity
Having distinct cultural characteristics
Minority group
People who are singled out for unequal treatment and who regard themselves as objects of discrimination
Dominant group
The group with the most power, greatest privileges, and highest social status
Melting pot
The idea that the United States would act as a “melting pot”, where different ethnicities and races can blend together
