What were the changes that happened in Egypt after Joseph’s generation died?
The changes were that a new pharaoh came into power and feared the Israelites. Egyptians made Israelites their slaves. They were forced to build monuments and building.
Compare how Jacob’s family was treated before and after Joseph died?
Jacob’s family was treated, honored, and welcomed before Joseph died, then when he died they were slaved and treated as threats.
Why did Moses have to flee Egypt?
Moses had to flee Egypt because he saw a Hebrew being beaten by a Egyptian, and Moses killed the Egyptian. The pharaoh heard about this and wanted to but him to death.
What happened at the burning bush?
God appeared to Moses and called out to him, asking him to go to the pharaoh and tell him to free his people.
What name does God call himself?
God calls himself Yahweh or “I AM”
What does God ask of Moses?
God asks Moses to return to Egypt to lead the Israelites out of slavery.
How does God help his people??
God helps his people by convincing the pharaoh to let the Israelites go, or free, by sending plagues to Egypt.
What did God promise Moses?
God promised Moses the land of Canaan.
What do the plagues represent?
The plagues represent a great struggle of the Israelites between God and the pharaoh.
After the pharaoh refused to let the Israelites go after nine plagues, what did God promise to do?
At the end of the nine plagues, God promised to sent one more plague upon the pharaoh and Egypt. After that he will then let them depart.
How did the Israelites plan for their escape?
By smearing lamb blood over their doors, also known as Passover.
What is unleavened bread?
Unleavened bread is the bread that the Israelites ate while staying in their homes on the night of Passover.

The waters of the red sea symbolize the waters of baptism.
When the Israelites were in the wilderness, how did God show his faithfulness?
By sending the people or Israelites miracles through Moses. He gave them food and water.
