Ukraine was split between two sides in wwi, so they were considered a threat.
why were the italiens taken for internment?
They were an ally to germany, so again, a threat. They were forced to work for no wage, and were taken from families
why were the japanese taken for internment?
canada was at war with japan, so japanese canadians were moved from the coast (escape) and forced into internment
