Safe start

A
  1. Both valves pulled out
  2. Hold clutch down , put gear in NEUTRAL
  3. Turn key on position
  4. Let gauges reset
  5. START TRUCK , keep clutch down until engine reach idle speed
  6. “Abs will come on then off , if it stay on Abs needs to be serviced”
  7. Release clutch

Air brake check

A
  1. Run engine to build pressure to 120/140 psi
  2. Turn engine off
  3. Turn key to on position

4.both brakes released (pushed in)

  1. Hold foot brake down for 1 min
  2. “The air pressure must NOT drop MORE THAN 4 POUNDs in minute “
  3. Begin fanning
    “ the low are warning light and buzzer should activate before pressure drop below 55 psi”
  4. Continue fanning
    “Both valves should pop activate at approximately 40 psi”

  1. Engine off
  2. key on
  3. turn on 4 way flashers and headlights
  4. Get out walk around check
    Clearance lights ,
    headlights taillights,
    turn signals,
    4way flashers,
    brake lights,
    red reflectors,
    reflector tape condition- clean and functional
  5. “ All external lights, reflective equipment are clean , functional and working, none broken or missing. Red on rear and amber elsewhere “
