How to conduct halide test
Add nitric acid, then silver nitrate. Observe precipitate colour.
How to conduct sulfate test
Add hydrochloric acid, then barium chloride. Observe for precipitate.
How to conduct carbonate test
Add an acid. Collect gas given off and bubble through limewater. Observe for cloudiness.
