Mass/density
Electron
Identifies weather or not you have neutral ion and or atom.
Neutron
Identifies the isotope of the atom.
Proton
Identifies the element.
Isotope
Atoms with the same number of protrons but different neutrons.
Melting
A solid changes to a liquid when cooled.
Vaporization
A liquid changes to a gas when heated.
Condensation
A gas changes to a liquid when cooled.
Freezing
A liquid changes to a solid when cooled.
Sublimation
A solid becomes a gas when heated, or a gas becomes a solid when cooled, with out passing through the liquid state.
Boiling Point
The temperature when a liquid begins to boil.
Brittleness
Ability of an object to break apart or shatter easily.
Clarity
Either transparent, translucent, or opaque.
Colour
E.g. red, blue, yellow.
Density
Amount of mass per unit of volume of that matter.
Ductility
Ability to be stretched to a long wire like shape.
Hardness
Determined by the resistance of being scratched.
Malleability
Ability of a substance to be hammered or bent into different shapes.
Luster
Ability of an object to reflect light.
Melting Point
The temperature at which a solid melts.
Odur
E.g. burnt, flowery, putrid.
Solubility
Ability of a substance to dissolve in a solvent such as water.
