23rd may 1923 the park opens, seen as a clean space, away from air pollution due to gas lights in the area,
postiviely impacting the lived experience of people.

the space remains to this day, used for recreational activity and a plaque commemorating his work is placed in the park

private estates in monton park had house prices up to £770000 and excluded the less affluent increasing social divide in the town.
