What happens if chlamydia is left untreated (8)

  1. can cause long term problems and can affect fertility and sexual health.
  2. The danger is that in the majority of cases, there are no symptoms.
  3. Therefore,people can have the infection and unknowingly spread it to others by sexual intercourse or oral sex.
  4. People who have unprotected sex are at greatest risk of contracting STIs.
  5. The best way for someone to find out if they have chlamydia is to get tested.
  6. You may sell the test kits in your pharmacy or alternatively you can refer patients to a local sexual health clinic.
  7. Patients should be advised to read the instructions on OTC testing kits carefully before they send off their urine sample to ensure the test will give an accurate result.
  8. There are kits available for testing in both men and women.
