Define point
An exact positionin space
Define line
An infinite set of points forming a straight path extending in two directions.
Define ray
A line that has one endpoint and continues infinitely in one direction
Define line segment
A part of a line that has two endpoints and includes all the points between those endpoints
Define plane
A collection of points that form a flat surface infinitly wide and long
Define intersection
A point where two lines meet or cross
Define perpendicular line
A line in which meets or crosses another line of 90o angle
Define parallel lines
Lines which are always the same distance apart
Define angle
Two rays that share two endpoints
Define bisect
To cut in half
Define straight line
A tool with a straight edge used to straight lines
Define perpendicular bisector
A line which meets or crosses another line at 90o degree angle and cuts the line in half

Same size and shape

A line that cuts an angle equaly in half
Define median
Line drawn from a vertex of a triangle to the midpoint of tge opposite side
Define centroid
The middle of the triangle itself, which would also be the center of gravity.
Define incenter
The center of the circle that can be inscribed in a triangle
Define circumcenter
The center of the circle that passes through all vertices of a triangle
Define transformations
Rules for moving each point of figure in the plane to a new location
Define translation
Transformation that slides a given figure a given distance and direction
Define reflection
A transformation that creates a mirror image of a given figure on the opposite side of a line
Define rotation
A transformation in which a figure is is turned a given angle and direction around around a certain point
