Tillich on justice
. He viewed justice as rooted in the divine nature of God, who is the source and standard of all that is just. Tillich emphasized the importance of social justice, which involves ensuring that all individuals have access to the conditions necessary for a dignified and fulfilling life. However, he also recognized the limitations of human justice, which can be imperfect and fall short of the ideal. Ultimately, Tillich believed that true justice can only be realized in the context of the divine order, where all things are brought into harmony with God’s will.
Tillich on wisdom
Wisdom, for Tillich, involves the integration of reason, faith, and existential courage in navigating the complexities of life and making moral decisions in accordance with divine truth.
Tillich on love
He described love as the power that unites and reconciles fragmented humanity with itself and with God. Agape, in Tillich’s view, reflects the divine love revealed in Jesus Christ and serves as the ultimate moral principle guiding human relationships and actions.
