A

ie approach to violence and revenge in OT and NT
Response - Bible looks at situations from different angles - CP: this needs interpretation which suggests reason is needed
Also - factual contradictions ie claim about seeing God face to face

Issue of different writing styles

A

Bible contains different writing styles with some in very specific context ie Paul’s letters - suggests one author can’t have written it (God)
Response - limits God saying He could only write one way; maybe those God inspired wrote in different styles

Strengths of theonomous ethics

A

Provides clear universal guidelines for different situations - however, modern scenarios are not covered ie abortion and so to use the Bible for them would require reason
