  1. Marriage vows are permanent - divorced couples are still seen as married in the eyes of God.
    - ‘To cherish as long as we both shall live’
  2. Remarriage is not allowed except when an annulment takes place.

  2. Condemns homosexual acts not people - asks homosexuals to live celibate.

What is the Catholic view on contraception? (2)

  1. ‘Be fruitful and multiply’ - Contraception is bad b/c it stops procreation and takes away God’s role of transmitting human life.
  2. Prefer to use the ‘Rhythm Method’ - planning sex around the women’s menstrual cycle to avoid the fertile period.
