The crucifixion of Jesus was part of Gods divine plan, the death of Jesus was necessary to allow the resurrection to take place and for Jesus to fulfil his role.

Jesus was buried in Josephs tomb wrapped in white cloth. Two women went to the body but it was gone. No one believed the woman so peter went to check. The stone had been rolled away. The ascension was 40 days after the resurrection. A crowd of people saw Jesus and led them to Bethlehem. He said the holy spirit will come and guide them and they should be his witness. Then he was taken/raised up into a cloud and went to heaven. Angels spoke to the crowd and said he would return to earth in the same way. Everyone returned to Jerusalem filled with great joy and spent time at temples.
